LivingSocial: Gift Shop

With a large number of day-to-day purchases focusing around birthdays, holiday's and other gift-giving occasions, LivingSocial launched their new Gift Shop vertical just in time for the holiday season. Featuring a curated, gift-giving experience for both desktop and mobile; 'gifts' boasts a custom search 'wizard' for any type of present you're looking for whether it be a birthday gift for your dad, curated collections for Mother's Day, top trending deals of the weekend or a 1 year anniversary for your dog, "gifts' has it all.


OBJECTIVE
Design a comprehensive gift-browsing experience with a flexible user interface, enabling users to explore upcoming holiday ideas, featured deals, and easily navigate through filterable category pages.


GOALS
Must work for desktop and native apps
• Optimize for a ‘Search First’ and extensive ‘Browse’ experience
• Enable both physical and digital gift giving

For the launch of the Gift Shop Vertical, twelve sub category, navigational items and collections were hand-picked and curated. To further customize the visual aesthetics of the individual pages we teamed up with the in-house photo team to schedule and produce engaging and eye-catching headers for each avenue of interest.
